Alcoholic-OH in Anion Coordination Chemistry
Description
Anion Recognition using synthetic receptors is one of the central areas of research in contemporary supramolecular chemistry. To date, numerous receptors have been reported for the recognition and sensing of anionic substrates. Among the several anion-binding moieties, the alcoholic hydroxyl groups C-O-H is an important functional group in molecular recognition. In this mini-review, we cover the use of this group in development of synthetic anion receptors.
