Description
EOSC-Pillar was a project funded by the European Union's H2020 research and innovation program, running from July 2019 to December 2022. It aimed to coordinate national Open Science efforts across Austria, Belgium, France, Germany and Italy, and ensure their contribution and readiness for the implementation of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC).
The project included a work package dedicated to use cases, whose aim was to demonstrate the added value of EOSC level services and coordination for specific communities. This document is a complete report of the work achieved during the project on Use case 6: Exploring reference data through existing computing services for the bioinformatics community. It presents identified scientific and technical challenges, use case objectives, solutions put in place, exploitable results and perspectives for future work.
