The article examines the issue of distinguishing in the life cycle of the family the period from waiting for a child to its birth as one of the most stressful stages in the dynamics of family relations, analyzes the peculiarities of the impact of the birth of a child on changes in the system of family relations, as an event under the influence of which relations are inevitably rebuilt between spouses, relatives, close family friends, which is sometimes quite painful.
