METHODS OF LEXICOGRAPHIC AND PSYCHOLINGUISTIC DESCRIPTION OF WORD SEMANTICS
Authors/Creators
Description
The article defines the concept of the method of lexicographic and psycholinguistic description of the semantics of a word. Despite the typological diversity of semantic micro-components, there are practically no attempts in modern scientific works not only to consistently describe the meanings of lexical units using the sema category, but also to consistently lexicographically fix the sememic composition of the described meanings. The most complete lexicographic and psycholinguistic description of the meaning of a word is carried out by generalizing the definitions of the entire set of explanatory dictionaries available to the researcher. Context analysis and generalization of data from psycholinguistic experiments help to increase the detail of the description of meaning, which allows us to identify many peripheral differential semes. Using a set of methods for studying the semantics of a word allows you to create a comprehensive description of the meaning of a word at the level of sememe and seme. The integral concept of the meaning of a word involves the use of a complex methodology. The use of a complex of various methods for identifying semantic components of different types in the content of a linguistic unit allows us to fully present the content and structure of meaning in the unity of the main and peripheral components, as well as formulate a generalized definition of meaning as close as possible to the real linguistic consciousness.
