IG-FEM and FDM: strain analysis code for discrete displacement data

We built Green strain (Green-Lagrangian finite strain) tensor calculation codes based on the finite element (IG-FEM) and difference (FDM) methods.

We measured their accuracy by deriving strains of analytical deformation problem

Both codes are applied in the Fold-and-thrust belt and Horst-and-graben models using the discrete element method.
