Studies on Phytocenoses of the Desert and Semi-Desert Lowlands Stretching Along the Araz river in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic

The paper presents the results of investigations of the influence of modern desert plant communities in the formation of local biotypes xerophytic plants. It is was found out in the process of localization of xerophytic plants is going on in modern desert plant communities due to the influence of unfavorable environmental conditions (drought, salinity, erosion, degradation and other destructive factors.) For the first time the process of localization of xerophyte plants has been studied by us in Sadarak, Sharur, Boyukduz and Gulustan lowlands 20300 local biotipes were identified their specific composition, phytocenological structure and biological zole was revealed.
