Study Of Physiological Parameters Of Bread Wheat Genotypes Under Prolonged Drought Stress

Drought decreases gas exchange parameters (photosynthesis rate – Pn, stomatal conductance – gs, mesophyll cells conductance – gm, intercellular CO2 concentration – Ci, transpiration rate – Tr) of the flag and penultimate leaves of field grown bread wheat genotypes. gs, especially gm regulates Pn. C i reduced with an increase in Pn. Drought stress decreases flag leaf area, dry biomass, relative water content. Gobustan and Azamatli-95 genotypes are more tolerant to drought.
