Buried Meadow Gray - Soils Of The Mughan Plain

  • 1. Institue of Soil Science and Agro Chemistry

Description

Morphogenetic diagnostics, physical and chemical characteristics of the buried soils of the Mughan plain as a result of the historical process have been presented in the review article. According to surveys of these two cuts it can be concluded that the reason for the formation of buried soils is the intensive floods and agroirrigation on the surface of the soil. Therefore it is considered necessary to conduct a paleo-soil investigation of these soils. In general, the layer of the soil, which is considered buried, shows the properties of the layer of gray - meadow soils. Despite the fact that in parts of newly buried soils the time-dependent process of "boiling" occurs and creates a problem for classification. Another necessity for paleo-soil investigation is that with the passing of time it will be possible to determine the occurring changes, because soil and its genetic layers preserve the conditions of soil formation in their morphogenetic indicators in chronological order.
