An Episciences overlay journal has a complete publishing system on its own site which allows it to manage both the editorial workflow and the publication of articles in the open repositories. Episciences’ overlay model of publishing is a mix of Gold Open Access (with open access journals) and Green Open Access (with self-archiving by authors in an open access repository).
