Academician V.Y.Akhundov And His Role In Solving The Problems Of İnfectious Pathology İn Azerbaijan (to 100th Anniversary Of The Birth)

This year the scientific community of our country is celebrating the significant date - the centenary of the birth of a doctor, scientist, statesman of Azerbaijan, academician V.Y.Akhundov, whose name was given to the National Research Institute of Medical Prevention of Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan, by the Decree of Heydar Aliyev, the late President of Azerbaijan (N 353 from 06.20.96). The article presents a brief summary of the scientific activity of institute for the period of his leadership, reflects the main directions and results of virological, microbiological, hygienic studies and his role in solving problems of infectious pathology in Azerbaijan
