OGITO: An open geospatial interactive tool to support collaborative urban planning

  • 1. University of Twente

Description

Open Geospatial Interactive TOol (OGITO) is an open-source software application designed to support collaborative spatial planning processes with a maptable. Human-centred design and Agile software development principles we combined to design the tool in a co-design effort with intended users and stakeholders. Through iterative development cycles and feedback from users, OGITO was evolved until it satisfied user expectations. The usability of the tool was tested in two case studies on rural land use planning and budgeting in Semarang, Indonesia, and noise action planning in Bochum, Germany.
