RS-DAT: Deployable analysis environment for remote sensing
Description
RS-DAT is an eScience Center - SURF Alliance project that aim to lessen the gap between the use of large-scale computing infrastructure that can provide for processing and analyzing big geospatial and Earth observation data, and the accustomed workflows of researchers with specific skills and technical knowledge. For this purpose, it provides tools and middleware focusing on common issues in the Earth Observation and Remote Sensing workflow chains, such as efficient and effective data access, reproducible research, and paralla/distributed computing. It lowers the barrier to use technologies like SpatioTemporal Asset Catalog (STAC), DASK, docker, dCache, as well as HPC computing infrastructure such as Snellius and SPIDER.
