Internationalisation and Localisation of Open Science through The Turing Way

  • 1. The Alan Turing Institute
  • 2. University of Liverpool, KAIMRC

Description

The language of open science - literal terms, words, and the sense of understanding they convey may not exist in non-English contexts. This is why the process of developing open science is similar to developing a new language, and being truly “open” requires diverse, multilingual and locally relevant research to make it accessible to a wider audience

This talk will present  the Turing Way approach to capitalise on recent advances in translation technologies to develop a multilingual dissemination of Open Science.

Notes

The talk is presented to Durham RIOTS Club on the 7th of Dec.
