INFORMATION SYSTEMS IN THE DESIGN OF INDUSTRIAL FACILITIES

The main issue that was raised during the research for this article is the creation of a unified information system for enterprises belonging to research and design institutes (RDI). In particular, the work of RDI engaged in the development of solutions for hazardous production facilities of Russia's leading industries – gas and oil refining and gas and petrochemical industry – was considered. At the moment, the issue of a unified information system for the design of objects is poorly covered in research, most authors consider its individual aspects, levels of application or even targets, without taking into account the need to link the activities of departments of a single organization. Often, separate computer-aided design (CAD) systems are used in the work of NIPI, which are not interconnected. Automation of organizational activities may not be implemented at all. At the same time, due to the element saturation of industrial facilities, the complexity of technologies and the increasing requirements for the quality of work, the complexity of RDI works increases, which necessitates their complex automation (i.e. automation of both the target design process and organizational activities within the enterprise).
