Description

This study was carried out in order to determine the effect of the different of plants densities per unit area on yield and yield components of soybean second crop conditions at GAP Agricultural Research Institute, Gündaş Research Station in 2021. The study, in which three different plant densities (I row at 70 cm, II row at 70 cm and III row at 70 cm) were tested and five different soybean (Gapsoy-16, Lider, Blaze, Ataem-7 ve Adasoy) varieties were used as material, was established according to the randomized blocks split plot design with three replication. In the study, the effect of different plant densities on yield was found to be statistically significant at 1%, while the yield difference between cultivars and the responses of cultivars to different plant densities were found to be statistically insignificant. The lowest yield was obtained from the application the one row at 70 cm with 206.22 kg da-1, while the highest yield was obtained from the application the three row at 70 cm with with 269.41 kg da-1. As a result of the study, it will be more profitable for second crop soybean growers to plant third row soybean at 70 cm row spacing.
