Dataset supplementing the journal article describing the pyfastspm Python package

Description

This dataset represents a fast scanning tunneling microscopy image sequence, acquired with the FAST SPM module, showing a reduced Fe3O4(001) surface observed at 657 K during oxygen exposure. This is used as example dataset in the journal article describing the pyfastspm Python package (10.1016/j.softx.2022.101269, Figure 3 and 4, Supporting Information).

FastSTM movies are save in HDF5 file format (.h5) and can be opened with the open-source pyfastspm Python package (https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.6824215). These files include the data with all the relevant FAST-SPM instrument settings ( a copy of the metadata is provided in the *meta.txt file). The log of the analysis performed with the pyfastspm software (.log) are provided as plain text files together with the IPython notebook used for the analysis. The resulting movie is saved as .mp4 video file.
