New Etymologies for PIE *hewis (bird), *howis (sheep), *howyom (egg), *hews (dawn), et al.

Authors/Creators

Description

A new work investigating many PIE roots in a whole new way. As well as the case of Indo-Iranian *mrgas="wild animal, bird" and Germano-Celtic *markos="horse". And more.

Notes

Very well updated 2nd version. Explaining PIE *dher="to hold; hold firm", PIE *dherg="firm, strong, supporting", PIE *dhers="brave, bold". New etymology for Ge/Gaia and for Getae, and Gethuon/Geteion/Keteion. Citing Poseidon and horses as more evidence for my etymology of *markos="wild horse/horse" from "to flow; water; to run; to fly" and more. If "ge-pattalos" meant "earth-penis" rather than "root-penis"…but if "ge" meant "root", then that links up with gethuon/geteion="a kind of onion", and offers a very likely etymology for Ge/Gaia, as explained in this work.
