Description
In this study, it was aimed to develop a scale in order to determine the level of attitude of individuals studying in recreation and recreation management towards business-related courses. For this purpose, a total of 18 items were extracted from the draft form, whose item pool was created with 47 items, by evaluating the opinions of the participants and the opinions of the expert group. Exploratory Factor Analysis was applied on the data which obtained from the first study group consisting of a total of 184 participants. In this context, orthogonal rotation and varimax techniques were used, and 7 more items showing overlapping structure were excluded from the scale. Within the scope of ensuring the construct validity, the number of factors was determined by determining the factors with an eigenvalue of 1 and above in the correlation matrix, and the factor load value was considered as .30 and above. After the EFA was applied, the scale became a measurement tool consisting of 17 items and 3 sub-dimensions (cognitive, behavioral, affective) explaining 50.34% of the total variance. Confirmatory Factor Analysis was applied on the data obtained from a second study group consisting of a total of 410 participants, and it was determined that the fit indices confirmed the three-dimensional structure. The results of the reliability analysis were found to be .84, .82 and .81 for cognitive, behavioral and affective factors, respectively, and the Cronbach's Alpha value calculated for the overall scale was .85. When all the findings obtained from this study are evaluated, it can be stated that the "Attitude Scale Towards Business Administration Course" (ASTBAC) is a valid and reliable measurement tool that can be used to determine the level of attitude of individuals studying at university level recreation and recreation management programs towards business-related courses.
