Comment on "Interspecific competition limits bird species' ranges in tropical mountains"

R code and data for Xing et al., Comment on “Interspecific competition limits bird species’ ranges in tropical mountains”. Do the following to reproduce all results presented in the manuscript:

1. Download and unzip the eBird data provided by Freeman et al. from: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.6450244
2. Put the unzipped folders in the directory of the current project.
3. Run the R code in ReAnalysisOfFreemanEtAl.R to reproduce all analyses of Xing et al.
4. The region (mountain) level summary data are provided here as 'eBirdSummarydata.csv'. This should be sufficient to reproduce Xing et al.'s analyses. Just import this into R and skip the first two steps above and also skip the 'part 1' section of the R code.
