Description

This paper presents the results of the investigation of wild cherry (Prunus avium L./Moench/) population in the area of Potkozarje. The studied genotypes grow in association with sweet chestnut (Castanea sativa Mill.) on acidic soil. Indicators of tree growth of wild cherry genotypes and pomological characteristics show a high variability inside the population. The selected specimens are an excellent source of reproductive material for the nursery production.
