Description
This dataset contains a polyline shapefile with the streamlines as derived from the DDM30 (Döll & Lehner 2002) at the CRU land-ocean mask in the version, the global water model WaterGAP (Müller Schmied et al., 2021) has implemented it. The upstream area (in km2) for each polygon strech is provided as well.
The dataset provided here is used as input data for assessing the stream networks of the ISIMIP global water models (www.isimip.org). In particular, the purpose is to map the gridded long-term average streamflow in order to explore if streamflow observation stations are located within the stream network of the individual models. This is the precondition for a fair and comprehensive model evaluation. The dataset provided here helps for visualizing the streamflow network provided by ISIMIP.
