Description

Budd Chiari syndrome is characterized as a group of heterogenous conditions of hepatic venous outflow obstruction (BCS) that is rare vascular disorder. Primary Budd-Chiari syndrome (BCS) is characterized by impairments of the right atrium and small hepatic veins at any level [1]. Most of myeloproliferative neoplasms and prothrombotic states are indications of early stages of BCS. With high death rates of 70% - 90%, BCS is a lifethreatening disorder without treatment [2]. Long-terms outcomes after TIPS in patients with Budd-Chiari syndrome is duscussed in this article.
