FISCAL POLICY AND ITS ROLE IN REDUCING UNEMPLOYMENT IN IRAQ FOR THE PERIOD 2004-2020

ABSTRACT

Given the role of fiscal policy in achieving goals through public expenditures and revenues on the unemployment rate, which is an important and basic indicator in the economy of any country, and accordingly, the research was divided into a theoretical aspect to clarify the basic concepts of fiscal policy and unemployment, its causes and the most important types, and an applied section to analyze the development of public revenues and expenditures and analyze Unemployment rates during the research period (2004-2020), and the research reached a number of conclusions, the most important of which is that the increase in real public expenditures in any year leads to a decrease in unemployment rates, which shows the role played by fiscal policy as one of its tools to reduce unemployment rates, and highlights the main objective To research, study the developments of the financial policy in the Iraqi economy in the aspect of the general budget (expenditures and revenues) and its impact on the level of unemployment by reducing the phenomenon of unemployment in Iraq.
