INTERNATIONALIZATION IN ELEMENTARY EDUCATION: FOCUS ON ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING AND THE COMMON NATIONAL CURRICULUM BASE IN BRAZIL

This study, resulting from legal research, aimed to analyze the propositions of the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC) for the teaching of the English language curriculum component within the scope of the possibilities of implementing internationalization processes in the final years of elementary school. The methodology used was of a qualitative nature with an exploratory objective. The analytical-discursive corpus of the research consisted of the document called BNCC. The data analysis technique used was content analysis. The main findings of the research point to the component as a means of building intercultural knowledge. Thus, we conclude such propositions point to the insertion of the student in the globalized world.
