Imágenes de la sal a través del tiempo
Description
The role of salt as a food product and as a raw material for industry, including food preservation, makes it an indispensable mineral. In some places, such as the coasts of hot and dry climates, it is very easy to obtain by evaporation of sea water. In others, for climatic or geological reasons, obtaining them has required the development of specific technologies. In many cases, obtaining salt has created peculiar customs and landscapes, whose images, over the centuries, in engravings and photographs, represent a remarkable historical and cultural value.
