A study of the problems faced by widowed women

Women are a weak group in Indian male dominated society and if a woman is a widow she falls into a weak group.  In today's developed society, women still face many problems, but you can imagine what the situation would be in the pre-independence period, and taking into consideration that problem, many social reformers tried to fight against the so-called society's disharmony.  Raja Rammohan Rai Hayani Widhu Mahilacha Kashayam Bat Karan Pandita Ramabai established Harm Mukti Mission to make widow women self-reliant.  Mahatma Jotia Phule and Gavitribai Phule ie other women worked for the education of widowed women.
