Description

We are submitting a manuscript entitled “Increased expression of SMS in lower-grade glioma predicts poor prognosis: A study based on TCGA data” for your consideration.

The prognosis of lower-grade glioma (LGG) patients after recrudescence remains poor and treatment options are often limited and unsatisfactory. In our study, we initially identified a new prognosis biomarker——spermine synthase (SMS) for LGG by excavating TCGA database. We presented that the over-expression of SMS in LGG may play a key role in tumorigenesis by regulating cell proliferation, affecting immune cell infiltration and clinical prognosis. This study reveals that SMS may be a potential therapeutic target for LGG.

This is an original article, the data reported in this manuscript has not been published elsewhere and is not under consideration by another journal. The authors have no conflict of interest to report. All authors have seen and approved the manuscript as submitted, and declare no conflict of interest.
