Ghanshyam Dhende is known as a renowned ghazal singer.

After retirement he started writing ghazals and within a short time his quality ghazals became popular.  Before writing ghazals, Ghede used to write songs for folk theater.  Dhede's village (Pargaon) had a pageant.  At a young age, he used to write Lavanyas just on the go, even though he was not familiar with Chad-Vritt as he fell in love with the poets.
