Description

No resource has emerged as valuable or in short supply as medical oxygen as the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic continues to overpower India's medical system. For the second week in a row, India has seen over 390,000 Covid-19 cases. According to government data provided on May 8, an estimated 17% of all people hospitalized with Covid-19 symptoms need medical oxygen, with more than 137,000 people on oxygen support across India. This is nearly three times the amount of people who needed oxygen in the first wave. This paper will seek to answer how the negligence of the Indian government failed to produce or provide oxygen to the citizens of India.
