Description
The Internet has become an inseparable mode of a delivery channel in the banking sector. Since the security of customers’ data has thus become most crucial for bank officials, the adoption of e-banking majorly depends upon the reliability of its operations. This study mainly intends to find out how security concern impacts e-banking users and their behaviour towards adoption of internet banking services. This paper has tried to analyse customers’ perception and awareness of e-banking, their problems while using e-banking, and security and privacy concerns. Certain factors such as the trouble met while using the Internet play a crucial role in the consumer’s adoption or rejection of this new banking delivery channel. Security concerns negatively affect clients’ trust, due to which there is a decrease in the number of internet banking users. It is thus recommended to devise ways to enhance trust in the e-banking users.
