India is one nation, but a plural society. Its plurality is in built in its geographical, demographic, and historical and so on. Cultural diversity is significant because our country, workplaces and schools increasingly consist of various cultural, racial and ethnic groups. In cultural diversity, we learn from one another, learning about others culture helps us understand different perspective within the world in which we live and also helps dispel negative stereotypes and personal biases about different groups. Through interacting to each other, we can build bridges to trust, respect and understanding the culture of all over the world. The diverse cultures contribute languages skills, new way of thinking, new knowledge and different experiences. Education also plays a central role in conserving, modifying and transforming identities. Keeping in mind the heterogeneous character of Indian society, the national policy on education envisages harmonious development of all groups. Similarly, business organization also plays an important role in cultural diversity through appointing a different religion, race and skill of employees. Social media is also not exceptional. Social media provide a place where people across the world can stay in touch and feel closer and more connected regardless of the distance that separates them. New social media have been rapidly spreading across the globe and gaining popularity in today’s society. While providing a common way of linking people together through knowledge, behaviors, and attitudes, a sense of belonging to a greater social network other than one’s own local community is effectively created. Hence, it is essential to find out the role of education, organization and social media in cultural diversity.
