Description

Recently, in maxillofacial surgery and dentistry, it is relevant to study such a problem as the relationship between dental diseases and chronic non-communicable diseases. We conducted a comprehensive clinical and epidemic examination of 1200 patients with inflammatory diseases of the maxillofacial region and neck. Receiving inpatient treatment for maxillofacial surgery at the Osh Interregional United Clinical Hospital from 2019 to 2021 with inflammatory diseases of the maxillofacial region. Concomitant pathologies of iron deficiency anemia were established on the basis of hematological parameters. The aim of the study was to study the prevalence of major dental diseases in people with chronic non-communicable diseases. The result of the study showed that out of 450 patients with an inflammatory disease of the maxillofacial region, there was a chronic non-communicable disease and iron deficiency anemia. The prevalence, concomitant diseases of a non-infectious nature were studied, iron deficiency anemia – 51.6%, diseases of the digestive tract – 17.3%, urinary system – 12.5%, cardiovascular system – 10.2%, chronic lung diseases – 8, four%. The results of the study showed that all patients with iron deficiency anemia according to the severity of the disease were distributed as follows: mild degree – 66.5%, moderate degree – 32.6%, severe degree – 0.9%. Iron deficiency anemia in most cases was found in patients with inflammatory disease in children aged 5 to 14 years old – 38.2%, adults – 13.4%. An adequate assessment of iron deficiency anemia can have a positive effect on the results of treatment of inflammatory diseases of the maxillofacial region and neck. The results of the study allow us to develop evidence-based recommendations on the prevention of major inflammatory diseases of the maxillofacial region and neck.
