Description

LIBER organised a Stakeholder Consultation Workshop, to get the expert view of practitioners and policymakers in the field of Open and Citizen Science regarding the current recommendations coming out of the INOS project. The event took place online on Friday 24th June, and 19 specially invited participants debated and discussed how best to facilitate the integration of OS/CS into Higher Education curricula. The workshop began with three talks:

1) Katerin Zourou - Intorduction to the INOS Project

2) Rosie Allison - INOS Roadmap for capacity building on OS and CS for HEI library staff and Co-Creating a Shared Vision for Citizen Science in Higher Education: Pitfalls and Recommendation

3) Margaret Gold - The Citizen Science Lab at Leiden University

Participants then split into discussion groups to co-create recommendations for cultural and policy change to foster the integration of Open and Citizen Science at Higher Education institutes. The results of this talk will be released in two documents, 1) Report on Stakeholder Consultation and 2) Vision and Policy Recommendations, which will be uploaded to the INOS Zenodo Community during July/August 2022.
