THEMATIC GROUPS OF LEXICON OF MONUMENTS OF BUSINESS WRITING OF THE 17TH CENTURY (BASED ON THE KURSK CUSTOMS BOOKS)

The article deals with the vocabulary of the monuments of the South Great Russian dialect. The purpose of the work is to distribute the vocabulary identified in the monuments by thematic groups and, if necessary, supplement the characteristics of words with etymological information. The research material was 7 Kursk customs books of the 17th century. The novelty of the study is determined by the fact that the vocabulary of the monuments of the South Great Russian dialect in this aspect is analyzed for the first time. As a result of the study, 130 words were identified, which were divided into 9 thematic groups. These include: "Vocabulary associated with the name of a person" (42); "Names of monetary units" (8); “House, buildings, building material” (6); “Animals and birds, names of animal body parts” (22); "Customs vocabulary" (11); "Unit of time" (11); "Food" (4); "Words with the meaning of a sign" (18); "Words with color meaning" (8). The most numerous of them is “Vocabulary related to the name of a person”. The recorded examples were repeated in the text of monuments with different frequency. In total, 2317 word forms were noted in the analysis.
