The parachors of some lithium, sodium and rubidium malls have been determined by the solution method and the parachor values of lithium bromide, sodium thiosulphate and sodium bisulphite which have not been previously determined are now found by this method.

For the first group of elements (Li, Na, K, Rb. Ca) the graph obtained by plotting the log of atomic number against the log of parachor (our values) gives a straight line curve, and thus a definite relationship between the atomic number and parachor has been . established.
