México país megadiverso y la relevancia de las áreas naturales protegidas
Description
This paper highlights the biological diversity of Mexico and its global significance. It presents data on population growth, as well as the changes that have caused human activities on natural ecosystems. This has led to the loss of ecosystem services, jeopardizing both the biological diversity and human welfare. Natural Protected Areas (NPAs) are an alternative to promote the sustainable use of resources, encourage the prevalence of ecosystem services and the conservation of cultural and biological diversity of Mexico.
