FORWARD AND BACKSCATTERING OF COMPTON IN ANISOTROPIC PLASMA OF THE SOLAR WIND
Authors/Creators
Description
In terms of the properties of the solar wind plasma, it is also important to take into account Compton backscattering on electrons and Compton scattering on protons. With a sufficiently high energy of electrons, it becomes possible to significantly increase the energy of photons involved in this process. Therefore, in cases where cosmic sources contain electrons or other particles whose energies exceed the energies of photons, then a significant distortion of the primary radiation spectrum should occur. The radiation emitted from the sun, photons, electrons, protons and other particles, interacting with each other, participates in the process of CR and СSR: a scattered photon from an electron (CSR), increasing energy, is absorbed by a proton (CR). These processes have an important place in the mechanism of obtaining particle acceleration in the solar wind plasma. Along with other processes, both scattering makes it possible to study the solar plasma and the data can be used in further studies of the solar wind.
