LABORATORY MANUAL FOR GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING

This manual has been prepared keeping in mind the basic needs of the students of civil engineering in the field of Geotechnical engineering. Efforts have been made to cover all testing procedures and their explanations required at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. The lab manual has been prepared in such a way as to cover the lab work of Geotechnical engineering course for civil engineering students and it wouldalso provide basic knowledge of advanced courses/tests related to Geotechnical engineering field. The primary purpose of this manual to give detailed and comprehensive idea about the background knowledge, purpose, mechanism and performance of laboratory and field scale tests conducted on soil for appraising its geotechnical characteristics.
