The oil from the seeds of Solanum indicum, Linn. consists of the glycerides of Jauric, palmitic, stearic, arachidic, oleic and linoleic adds together with the phytosterols, sitoaterol and carpesterol, and a hydrocarbon of high molecular weight and of m.p. 66-67°
