This document is the unchanged update of the CESSDA PID Policy 2019 (https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.3611327). It includes the updated CESSDA PID Policy Principles and provides the latest recommendations and Best Practice examples. The CESSDA ERIC Persistent Identifier Policy is intended to support the aims of locating, discovering, referencing, identifying, and citing CESSDA Service Providers data holdings. It serves as a basis for a common approach to the use of Persistent Identifier services across the CESSDA Service Providers.
