Authors/Creators

Description

The author describes a new species, based on the study of specimens that have been misidentified with Conus magus L. At the same time, a global overview is provided of taxa associated with C. magus as well as with the new taxon, which is compared and distinguished from each of the closest species.
The new species originates from the Philippines, Indonesia and the Southwestern Pacific and is named in honor of Prof. Bernard W. Tursch, well-known Belgian rnalacologist.
