Description
The sulphonation of coumaria, 6-nitrocoumarin, 7-hydroxy-4-methylcommarin and its methyl ether, and 7-hydroxy-6-carboxy-4-methy;coumarirl and its methyl ester with chlorosulphonic acid have been described. The structures of the sulphonated products have also been established.
