Nicotinoyl Dipeptides and Their Derivatives as Possible Tuberculostats

Description
Nicotinoyl-(± )-rnethienyl-( )-methionine, nicotinoyl-(±)-methionylglycine, and a number of their derivatives have been synthesised and screened for\( in\) \(vitro\) antitubercular activity. Out of 24 compounds tested, 4 have been found to inhibit the growth of \(Mycobacterium\) \(tuberculosis\) (H37Rv) at 1:10,000 dilution.
