Basionym: Eria apertiflora Summerh., Bull. Misc. Inform. Kew 1929: 9, 1929.
Specimens examined:— CHIN. Mindat District: Mar 1926, Unwin BG 3 p. p. (K). MON. Mawlamyine District: Parish s.n. (K), ident. uncertain.
Distribution:— The central Himalayas, northeastern India, Myanmar, Thailand and Indochina.
Note:— Unwin BG 3 is a mixed collection with P. spicata.
