Terpenoids and Related Compounds-XV. Terpenoids of the Bark of Rhododendron falconeri Sm.

Betulinic acid, taraxeryl acetate, taraxerol, β-sitosterol and a new triterpenoid, C₃₂H₅₂O₃ , have been isolated from the bark of Rhododendron falconeri Sm. The new triterpenoid has been shown from chemical transformations and Mass Spectrometric data to be uvaol 3-acetate.
