FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT IN LANGUAGE TEACHING AND LEARNING

Abstract. This article will first explain the formative assessment’s meaning, 
list  the types  of  formative  assessment,  along  with  relevant formative  assessment 
examples.  Then  it  will  illustrate  the importance  of  formative  assessment  in 
education.  We  will  also  cover  the advantages  and  disadvantages  of  formative 
assessment in education.
