Description

The aim of this article is to study the relationship between the role of women and men in the family with the stages of formation of human society using works of world literature. It has been shown that women are the first to acquire a reasonable state by grouping to counteract the aggression of α-males or coquetry, which formed the basis for choosing a stronger male. Regarding the possibility of forming an Amazonian society, a parallel was made with the fairy tale «Little Red Riding Hood», which depicts three generations of women in whose lives there was no permanent husband. It has been proved that for the pastoral and nomadic society women were the guardians of their native land – the ones who always remain. This information has come down to us in the form of the Persian folk novel «Samak-Ayar». Many artistic sources indicate the need for restraint of primitive instincts in marriage: Pushkin's The Tale of the Fisherman and the Fish, The Folk Tale What a Man Doesn't Do, It's Good, and Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew. This analysis shows that a stable family requires a certain hierarchy of relationships between a husband and his wife. This need calls for further research into building a harmonious family.
