Novel Synthetic Polyflavonyls

Flavonols have been methylenated with methylene iodide to provide Bi-(fla.vonyloxy)-methanes. Similar attempts of methynation of these fiavonols with iodoform have resulted in the successful synthesis of Tri-(flavonyloxy)-methanes, a novel class of poly-flavonyls.
