Several 2-alkyl-3-alkyl/aralkyl/aryl and 2-mercapto-3-aralkyl/alkyl/aryl-4(3H)benzo(g) quinazolinones have been synthesized for studying their physiological properties. These Compounds have been prepared from 2-amino-3-naphthoic acid and the appropriate amine of isothiocyanates. Some of these have been characterised through their S-methyl derivatives.
