We are happy to publish the 46th issue of Eskiyeni. With the decision of the Editorial Board, we decided to participate in the Transparent Peer Review process. With Transparent Peer Review, peer reviewers’ reports, authors’ responses, and editors’ decision letters are published alongside the accepted articles by hiding the identity of the reviewers: (https://dergipark.org.tr/tr/pub/eskiyeni/page/13397). Opening the reviewers' reports to the readers is important in terms of revealing and showing how the peer review process is operated in Eskiyeni. As it is known, the difference that distinguishes peer-reviewed journals from popular journals is the operation of the review process. In peer-reviewed journals, double-blind review, single-blind review, and open peer review are generally used. In an open review, the identity of the author and the reviewers are known by all participants. A double-blind review is the opposite, authors and reviewers do not know each other. In a single-blind review, the reviewers know the author (and his/her affiliation) but the author does not know who the reviewers are. Each of these systems has strengths and weaknesses. The Editorial Board of the Eskiyeni journal thinks that opening the peer-reviewed publication process carried out in cooperation with the authors, reviewers, editors, and the editorial board will further increase the quality of the journal. For this reason, it has decided to publish the reviewers' reports of all published articles since this issue, by hiding the names of the reviewers. This system, known as the Transparent Peer Review began to widespread. Reports of rejected articles will not be published on the grounds that those articles may be currently in process in another journal. Our Editorial Board will carefully follow the feedback from the authors, reviewers, and readers regarding this decision.
